Massive Chania photodiary.

Though it started rather fuzzy, the trip to Crete was true gold. We spent the first three days in Chania for the Sampajana Jazz Festival on top of the castle of the Old Town and the Anti- racism Festival. Well we might've rocked harder the seconda day but the  the Jazz Fest was... wow!!! What a spot, what a night, what a crowd, what a line up, what a moonlight.... I was really honoured, playing with the best from the Greek jazz community, people I admire since forever. I have to say though that our best night in Chania was the last one. After an infamous seaweed and Svelto incident (long funny story) we went up to the historical Vamos village, where among rocky cottages covered with ivy and a full moon lighting up the place we watched Baby Trio performing live, and I finally met this extremely lovable musical giant, George Kontrafouris. This guy has a rare blend of talent, extreme passion, humour and deep knowledge of almost.... everything, God must have been pretty generous back in '67 . Such an addictive, overwhelming personality and we only live a few blocks away back in Piraeus. :)
